Job description:
As a server, participants will be taking customers’ orders, serving food and beverages, preparing itemized checks, and sometimes accepting payment. Servers may perform additional duties, which may include escorting guests to tables, serving customers seated at counters, setting up and clearing tables, and operating a computer based system for making orders and processing payment. Servers (also known as wait staff) must be professional, polite, and reliable. They must speak excellent English to be able to understand and converse with the customers and they must be able to learn and describe food proficiently. Wait Staff also need to be familiar with the menu, with how the food is prepared, what it tastes like and if special requests are allowed. They need to be informed about specials and special events. PLEASE NOTE: No smoking is allowed on the job; smoking breaks are at the discretion of the manger. Smoking only allowed in designated areas. PLEASE NOTE: Servers, bartenders and food & beverage expeditors are part of a direct service team to a customer or customers. Gratuities are divided among direct service employees.
As a Food & Beverage (F&B) Expeditor participants are responsible for providing & assisting in the delivery of food & beverage to guests. Job duties include greeting & seating guests, delivering F&B to guests either in the restaurant, clearing of dishes from the buffet or tables, setting up & cleaning meeting rooms, serving F&B to guests in the Banquet space, & taking F&B orders either in person or over the phone. A line cook prepares different kinds of food, helps kitchen workers in the preparation of food items, and sets up allocated stations for menu, as instructed by Chef and in compliance with standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating meal portions, cleaning food, cooking meals and keeping a sanitized work area. We are seeking an individual who has experience in the food service industry and is committed to impeccable food presentation and garnishing, which is important for impressing our guests and creating repeat business.
