Job description:
Busser will be watering tables, clearing dirty dishes efficiently and as trained. This person will also need to be versatile and able to assist servers when needed. A busser’s job duties include clearing tables, taking dirty dishes to the dishwasher, setting empty tables and otherwise assisting the waiting staff. Responsibilities may also include bringing water and introductory foods (tortilla chips, bread etc.) to the table when guests first sit down. Primarily, a busser does all assistant activities including taking out the trash, shining cutlery, refilling water pitchers and restocking dinnerware and utensils. Bussers may also be required to clean restrooms. This will involve cleaning toilets and using cleaning chemicals.
Server must speak great English and have basic computer skills. Must be friendly and welcoming to our guests and co-workers. Server should have good organizational skill as they will be serving multiple course meals. As a server, participants will be taking customers’ orders, serving food and beverages, preparing itemized checks, and sometimes accepting payment. Servers may perform additional duties, which may include escorting guests to tables, serving customers seated at counters, setting up and clearing tables, and operating a computer based system for making orders and processing payment. Servers (also known as wait staff) must be professional, polite, and reliable. They must speak excellent English to be able to understand and converse with the customers and they must be able to learn and describe food proficiently. Wait Staff also need to be familiar with the menu, with how the food is prepared, what it tastes like and if special requests are allowed. They need to be informed about specials and special events.
Bartenders must be able to take and pass a 4 hour class on serving alcohol with care. Have basic knowledge of Beer, wine and alcohol. Basic Computer skills Friendly and able to engage in conversation with guests. While working as a bartender, participants will be serving and making beverages for customers as well as maintaining supplies and taking inventory for the bar. Cleaning glasses and cleaning up spills and dropped beverages around the bar may also be part of the job which usually involves coming into contact with cleaning chemicals. For re-stocking inventory purposes, employees must be willing and able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds at a time. Participants must have an outgoing attitude and a friendly, positive demeanor for this position. They will also need to learn how to use a computer based system for taking orders and processing payment. Participants must be at least 21 years old.
